Happy holidays!

My taste is a bit specialised (since I tend to steer clear of romance and genre fiction), but here is a list of novels I'm hoping to get during the new year:

1) London Triptych by Jonathan Kemp. Looks intelligent and right up my alley.

2) By Nightfall by Michael Cunningham. A couple of years old already, but the premise seems delicious.

3) The Absolutist by John Boyne. I read his Thief of Time a couple of years ago. It wasn't an LGBT book, but was enjoyable and, since this one does have gay characters, I suspect I'll enjoy it that much more.

4) Clicking on the Brink of Nada by Keith Hale. Another oldie. Like super old. But it was re-issued a few years ago and opinions appear to be divided on it. Hope to finally check it out and draw my own conclusions.

5) Don't Let Me Go by JH Tumble. High School romance, I think. I'll probably hate it, but the Amazon reviews make it seem promising. Perhaps deceptively so.

6) Passionate Attention of An Interesting Man by Ethan Mordden. Short stories. I think he wrote, We're Not in Kansas Anymore, which I read a billion years ago. The cover alone makes me want to buy it.

7) the Danny saga by Chancery Stone. Read Book One nearly ten years ago. Overlong, fairly redundant and extremely flawed, yet still very compelling in its relentless intensity. Now that all the books are done, thinking of re-visiting Stone's twisted world.
